Welcome to Sri Lanka College of Veterinary Surgeons
Welcome to the website of the Sri Lanka College of Veterinary Surgeons (SLCVS).
The SLCVS was established at a meeting held on 14th July 2014 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the University of Peradeniya, with participation of senior veterinarians representing a broad range of professional affiliations from the state and private sectors.
The first Executive Council (Ex-Co) was elected at this meeting, and the SLCVS was registered on 20th October 2014 as a Company Limited by Guarantee under the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007.
The Ex-Co has been actively engaged in enrolling Founder Members, Founder Fellows and Honorary Fellows since October 2014, and at present has around 100 persons enrolled under these categories.
